ABVP supports offline CUET-UG exams for 13 subjects, seeks action on exam centers

NEW DELHI: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) supports the decision of the National Testing Agency (NTA) to conduct the Central Universities Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET-UG) 2024 exams in offline mode for the thirteen subjects. The CUET UG 2024 exam will be conducted from May 15 to 31.

The 13 subjects for which the CUET UG 2024 exam will be conducted in offline mode include economics, business economics, accountancy, bookkeeping, biology/biotechnology, business studies, chemistry, computer science, English, general test, Hindi, history, mathematics, physics, and political science.

The decision to conduct exams for these subjects in a single shift will benefit students by alleviating concerns about potential variations in difficulty levels across different exam slots for the same subject, the ABVP said.

ABVP demands the NTA to prioritise students' convenience by ensuring that exam centres are located close to their residences. They emphasize the importance of transparency, error-free question papers, and effective management of the examination process to facilitate the smooth conduct of offline exams.

ABVP National General Secretary, Shri Yagywalkya Shukla, stated, "The decision to hold offline exams for subjects with over one lakh applications will greatly facilitate students. ABVP extends its best wishes to all CUET-UG candidates for their success in the exams and demands NTA to consider all aspects of all the stakeholders' interest to facilitate students in its decision-making for the arrangements of the examinations."

The NTA will issue the city intimation slip for the CUET UG 2024 exam on April 30, 2024. The CUET UG 2024 admit cards are expected to be out in the second week of May. The CUET UG 2024 result will be announced on June 30.
