The AFCAT exam is conducted twice a year to recruit candidates for several Flying Branch and Ground Duty posts. The IAF releases AFCAT 2 2021 application form on June 01, 2021. A lot of candidates apply for the AFCAT exam but only a few of them qualify it as there are only a limited number of vacancies and the competition is tough.
However, with proper preparation, sheer determination and well-planned strategy aspirants will be able to cross the finishing line with flying colours.
AFCAT 2021 - How to crack the AFCAT exam?
The AFCAT exam is conducted in two stages. The first stage is a written test while the second one is the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB). Candidates must refer to the official exam pattern and AFCAT syllabus as mentioned in the official notification to prepare for the exam.
Aspirants must download previous year question papers of AFCAT to get an idea about the difficulty level of the exam, types of questions asked in the exam and the paper pattern.
Enroll for the AFCAT mock tests and practice on a regular basis to increase the accuracy, question solving ability and speed up the time to solve the questions during the exam.
Check previous year cut off trends to know how candidates have scored earlier and what are the AFCAT cut off marks. One should be aware of the cutoff but this will not help the person crack the exam. He or she needs to know the tricks to crack the exam such as revision, completing the syllabus on time, time management etc.
What after qualifying the written exam?
As the IAF AFCAT exam is conducted in two stages, candidates who qualify in the written test will be eligible to appear in the AFSB. The Air Force Selection Board is conducted for 5 days and there are various activities in it such as personal interview, physical activity, group discussion, picture perception and discussion test etc. Candidates who qualify through all the tests conducted across the 5 days will have to appear in the medical test, post qualification in the medical test, they will be recruited on the vacant posts.
