AIBE XVI (16) 2021 result declared; Know minimum qualifying marks, certificate of practice

Candidates have to clear the minimum cut-offs in order to pass the AIBE exam and become eligible for the Certificate of Practice (CoP).

NEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India (BCI) has announced the result of All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XVI (16) 2021. Candidates can check the AIBE XVI result by logging into the examination portal at AIBE is a qualifying examination and the BCI would not release the marks obtained by the candidates in the examination. However, it informs the candidates about their result status.

By conducting AIBE, the BCI set a standard for law graduates who wish to practice law in India. Therefore, the council has set a criterion of minimum qualifying marks/percentage for candidates who appeared in AIBE XVI (16) 2021. All candidates who have secured marks equal to or higher than the minimum prescribed marks will be considered to have passed the examination.

AIBE cut-offs after revision of provisional answer key

The question paper of AIBE XVI (16) 2021 may have some questions for which candidates would have raised their objections. In the case of their objections getting accepted by the council, the cut-offs are then prepared based on revised answer keys. The percentage cutoffs however remain the same even after revision of the provisional answer key. Subsequently, a notification announcing the changes in the answer key is uploaded on the official website.

AIBE XVI 2021 Certificate of Practice

As per the Bar Council of India Rules, under the Advocates Act, 1961, an advocate will not be entitled to practice law unless he holds a valid and verified certificate of practice issued under All India Bar Examination Rules.

The Certificate of Practice (CoP) will be released soon after the result declaration. Candidates will be notified about the issue of certificates through a separate notification on the official website of AIBE XVI (16) 2021. Candidates who have passed the examination will have to collect their certificates from their respective state bar councils.
