AICTE, women-oriented foundation tie up to offer Google Career Certificate Scholarship

NEW DELHI: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has collaborated with the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) and Aspire for Her foundation to provide Google Career Certificate Scholarship programme. These courses will impart training to students to learn job-oriented skills. Interested students can apply for the programme on the official website of Aspire For Her.

An orientation session will be conducted on April 22 at 4pm for all registered students.

Google Career Certificates are flexible online training programmes designed to earn job-ready skills in high-growth, high-demand career fields such as IT Support, Project Management, Data Analytics and UX Design. Students do not need any relevant experience or degree to join the programme.

"Aspire For Her is a gender-diversity initiative and uses the power of communities to enable women to enter, persevere and thrive in the workforce. In doing so, they aim to uplift the economy," says the official website of the foundation.

Meanwhile, AICTE has requested all vice-chancellors of technical universities and all directors, principals of AICTE-approved Institutions to consider the cases of Indian students who returned from war-torn Ukraine, and to allocate them vacant seats available in their institutions at appropriate levels to facilitate the continuation of education. Around 20,000 Indian students returned to India from the war-hit Ukraine. Most of these students were pursuing medical and engineering courses in different universities in Ukraine. "All these students are in deep desperation as their educational future is uncertain in the war-torn country," said a circular from AICTE.
