Allahabad University colleges, central library to remain closed today amid students protest

University of Allahabad: Protesting students recently threatened to expand their agitation after their talks with the university administration failed.
NEW DELHI: The University of Allahabad and its constituent colleges including the Central Library will remain closed today. The Allahabad University, however, did not give a reason why the decision to close was made.
The official notice addressing all deans of faculty, heads of departments, librarians read, “The University & its constituent colleges including the Central Library will remain close on Friday 7th Oct 2022. This is issued with the approval of Vice Chancellor.”
Meanwhile, students have been demonstrating against the Allahabad University fee hike for nearly a month now. Demanding to roll back the fee hike, protesting students threatened to expand their agitation on Tuesday after their talks with the university administration failed.

On Wednesday, the students also burnt effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on the occasion of Dussehra.
However, the university has started the Allahabad University UG admission 2022 process and the PG counselling and document verification process.
Interested candidates with valid NTA CUET 2022 score, having given the preference of the University of Allahabad can register for UG admission 2022 at aucuetug2022.cbtexam.in by October 15, 2022.
Allahabad University PG Counselling 2022 registration process and document verification will end tomorrow, October 8, 2022.
