Allahabad University: Registration to fill 412 non-teaching posts begins

NEW DELHI: The Allahabad University started the application process to fill the 412 vacant non-teaching positions. Candidates can apply for these posts online at the university’s official website, allduniv.ac.in. The last date to apply for the AU non-teaching post is October 23.
The post on offer include 15 vacancies in group A, 36 of group B and maximum 361 in group C.
According to the AU administration advertisement, 90 vacancies are in multitasking staff for which the candidates need to be secondary school graduates, with a maximum age capped at 30. The 64 vacancies in the library department for library attendants, candidates need to be Class 12 graduates and have a diploma or a certificate course in library science.
There are ‘49 vacancies for junior office attendants’; 30 for laboratory assistants and 47 for laboratory attendants.

Jaya Kapoor, spokesperson at AU told Hindustan Times, “The number of posts had been reduced due to promotion of employees, adjustment of Institute of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education (ICC&CE) staff and compassionate appointments etc.”
The report stated that there are vacancies for system analysts, system programmers and computer operators. Candidates who have done BCA or any other equivalent qualification can apply.
AU administration is likely to commence the hiring process for teaching faculty as well, as there are 603 teaching positions vacant and of these 357 are for assistant professor, 168 of associate professor and 68 for professor.
