Allahabad University Counselling 2026: Admissions begin for 12 four-year UG programmes, BA-BEd, and six five-year integrated courses.

The University of Allahabad has commenced the undergraduate (UG) admission process for the 2026-27 academic session through the Samarth admission portal. The university said all counselling and admission-related activities will be conducted online through the portal, while the first cut-off list for various UG courses will be published on the official admission website.
In a press release, the university said it is offering admissions to 12 four-year undergraduate programmes, the Bachelor of Arts (BA)-Bachelor of Education (BEd) integrated programme, and six five-year integrated programmes for the current academic session.
The university said the UG admission process has commenced from July 23, 2026, and candidates can participate in the counselling process through the Samarth admission portal. Separate counselling links have also been provided for the BA-BEd programme.
According to the university, only candidates whose applications have been verified and shortlisted by the admission coordinator of the concerned course will be allowed to pay the admission fee. Candidates must complete the fee payment within the deadline mentioned in the admission schedule.
The university stated that failure to pay the admission fee within the stipulated period could lead to cancellation of the allotted seat, which may then be offered to the next eligible candidate.
To streamline the admission process, the university recently held a meeting of undergraduate admission coordinators at Pravesh Bhawan. During the meeting, coordinators were trained on the Allahabad University UG counselling process and admission procedures to be followed through the Samarth admission portal.
The University of Allahabad also advised candidates to keep their registered email address and mobile number active, as all official communication related to application verification, counselling, document verification and fee payment will be sent through these registered contact details.
Applicants have been asked to regularly visit the university's UG admission portal for notifications, counselling schedules, merit lists and other important updates. The university said shortlisted candidates will receive an email containing instructions for document verification and admission fee payment.
