Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University PhD admission registrations begin for 2023 session

NEW DELHI: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has started the registration for admission to PhD programmes. Candidates can opt for pursuing research in full-time and part-time programmes in multiple domains and disciplines including in engineering, artificial intelligence and computing, arts, humanities and commerce, physical sciences, social and behavioral sciences, interdisciplinary studies, management, life sciences, ayurveda and medical sciences.
Candidates seeking admission to PhD programmes can enroll in the Amrita campuses at Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Chennai, Kochi and Mysuru and apply online at amrita.edu/admissions/doctoral. The selection to the PhD programmes will be based on academic records, written test and online interviews.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham: Eligibility for PhD Admisison
- Applicants holding a UG degree with minimum 65 % marks can apply
- Applicants holding a 4-year UG degree with minimum of 80 % marks are eligible to apply for admission

As per an Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham statement, eligible candidates will receive funded positions and scholarships ranging from Rs 18,000 to Rs 40,000 per month based on the meritorious academic performances and research progress. Moreover, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has an annual scholarship budget worth Rs 3.7 crore, it added.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is working in collaboration with many leading international universities including the University of Buffalo, New York; University of New Mexico, Vrije University, Amsterdam; University of L’Aquila (Italy); BarcelonaTech (UPC) and Politecnico Di Milano, Italy. Scholars will also benefit from opportunities for Dual-PhD, Cotutelle Degree, Integrated PhD with these universities.
