“AMU has strengthened its place in the premier institutions of the Country as it got the ‘A+’ rank by the #NAAC. High NAAC ranking indicates soundness of AMU’s governance & academic delivery, among several other critical parameters,” AMU said in a tweet.

“Congratulating faculty members, students, non-teaching staff members & alumni, AMU vice-chancellor Professor Tariq Mansoor said: AMU’s place among Country’s leading universities reflects sheer hard work of our teachers and relevant and focused research carried out at the university,” the University added.

Mansoor said “AMU is a strong institute with capable faculty fostering educational ideas and thoughts inside a student that are necessary in changing times. Our contribution to national development is also increasing in leaps and bounds.”

The grading provided by the council is crucial for funds and grants allotted to a university by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The CGPA for A+ accreditation is between 3.26 to 3.50. NAAC gives A+ grade to an institution which gets 3.26 and higher score.
