Anant National University’s new infirmary has a four-bed daycare unit manned by licenced nurses and a 24-hour doctor service

NEW DELHI: Anant National University, India’s ‘first DesignX University’ based in Ahmedabad, has launched 24/7 medical facilities on its campus. The services launched in partnership with Blue Circle Medi Services, aims to ensure round-the-clock healthcare access to all its community members.
Anant National University had earlier launched a full-time nurse and a visiting doctor facilities to address emergencies and first aid. Now, a four-bed daycare unit manned by licenced nurses and a 24-hour doctor service are available at the new infirmary. The university has also established tie-ups with nearby hospitals to ensure easy access to tertiary care.
Equipped with necessary health monitoring tools, the facility can administer IV fluids, perform wound dressings, and provide essential medical treatments. It also has a well-stocked inventory of essential medicines.
Additionally, a licenced counsellor will be available during the day providing round-the-clock to ensure the mental well-being of both students and staff.
Blue Circle Medi Services works with about 85 institutions across India to provide healthcare services to residential schools and universities.
Lauding the initiative, Dr Anunaya Chaubey, provost of Anant National University says, “This initiative ensures round-the-clock on-campus access to good quality healthcare for the well-being of our community”.
