AP SET 2025 registration begins for assistant professor; exam on March 28, 29

The Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, has started the registration process for the Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET 2025). Eligible candidates can register for the AP SET 2025 through the official website at apset.net.in.

As per the schedule, the last date to register for AP SET 2025 is February 9. The Andhra Pradesh SET exam for assistant professor posts in universities and colleges across the state will be held on March 28 and 29. The hall ticket will be issued on March 19.

The AP SET exam will have two papers and cover a total of 30 subjects. Paper 1 will test teaching and research aptitude, while Paper 2 will have questions from the subject chosen by the candidate.

To complete the AP SET 2025 registration, candidates from the General category will have to pay Rs 1,600 per paper, while BC and EWS candidates need to pay Rs 1,300, and SC/ ST/ PwD/ third gender candidates need to pay Rs 900.

Candidates can apply with a late fee of Rs 2,000 until February 25. The registration process, with a late fee of Rs 5,000, will close on March 5.

AP SET Recruitment 2025: Eligibility criteria

As per the AP SET eligibility criteria, candidates who have completed a master’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a UGC-recognised university, with at least 55% marks for the general category and 50% for reserved categories, are eligible to apply for the exam.

There is no age limit for AP SET, and candidates with a PhD are eligible for relaxation in the minimum marks required.
