Once the freezing deadline is reached, no further changes or modifications can be made to the options that the candidate has selected. Here's how it works:
- Web Option Entry: Candidates select and prioritize their preferred colleges and courses.
- Freezing: After the web option entry is completed, candidates are given a specific time frame to finalize their choices. Once this period ends, the options are "frozen," meaning the candidates cannot make any further changes.
- Locking Options: Before the freezing deadline, candidates may still modify their selections. However, after freezing, the options will be locked in, and the system will consider these final preferences during the seat allocation process.
- Post-Freezing: Once options are frozen, the counselling authorities use these preferences to allocate seats based on merit and availability.
In AP EDCET 2024, the freezing of web options for phase 2 will occur on September 26, 2024, which is the last date for making any changes to the options. After this date, the choices are locked for seat allotment.
