AP POLYCET 2025 result on May 10; passing marks, tie-breaking rule

NEW DELHI: The State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh, has announced the result date for the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (AP POLYCET) 2025. The board will announce the AP POLYCET 2025 result on May 10.

Candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to check their AP POLYCET 2025 result through the official website, polycetap.nic.in. Candidates will have to enter their AP POLYCET 2025 hall ticket number to access the result. “Congratulations to all the Candidates Who have appeared for POLYCET- 2025. Rank cards can be downloaded after 10-05-2025,” the official notice said.

AP POLYCET 2025 was conducted offline on April 30 in a single shift from 11 am to 1 pm. The exam is conducted for candidates seeking admission to diploma programmes in engineering, non-engineering and technology offered at participating institutes.

AP POLYCET Result 2025: Passing marks

Candidates who appeared for the AP POLYCET 2025 should meet the minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for admission. General and Other Backwards Classes (OBC) candidates are required to score at least 36 out of 120 marks, which is 30 per cent of the total marks.

However, there is no minimum qualifying mark for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories; they will be included in the rank list regardless of their scores.

The AP POLYCET 2025 rank card will be released along with the exam results. It will include the candidate's name, hall ticket number, date of birth, category, subject-wise marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, total marks obtained, rank secured, and qualifying status.

AP POLYCET Result 2025: Tie resolution

In the event of a tie in AP POLYCET 2025, the board will apply the following tie-breaking criteria to determine candidate rankings:

• Candidates with higher marks in Mathematics will be ranked higher.
• If the tie persists, those with higher marks in Physics will be given preference.
• If the tie still remains, the older candidate, based on date of birth, will be ranked higher.
• If the tie continues, the candidate with a higher percentage in the qualifying examination (Class 10 or equivalent) will be considered.
