Subscribe NowThe Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced the application dates for the AP State Eligibility Test (AP SET) 2025 for recruitment to assistant professors, lecturers in state universities. Andhra University, Visakhapatnam will begin the AP SET 2025 registration from January 9.
Eligible candidates will be able to apply for the AP SET 2025 through the official websites at apset.net.in and andhrauniversity.edu.in.
The university will conduct the computer-based AP SET 2025 eligibility test on March 28 and 29 for recruitment and promotions of lecturers, assistant professors in universities, and degree colleges as per the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines 2023, the official notification reads.

AP SET 2025 Recruitment : Eligibility, application fee
The test will consist of paper 1 and 2, covering questions from a total of 30 subjects. The first will include teaching and research aptitude, while the second will contain queries on the chosen subject by the applicant.
General applicants can pay Rs 1,600 as registration fee, while Backward Classes (BC), Economically Weaken Section (EWS) candidates will have to pay a requisite fee of Rs 1,300.
The registration cost for AP SET 2025 for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), third gender, and Persons with Disability (PwD) is Rs 900. The application charges can be paid through online payment using credit card, debit card or net banking.
As per the eligibility criteria, one must have a master’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a UGC-recognised university with at least 55 per cent marks for the general and 50% for reserved category candidates.
The notification states that there is no age limit to appear for the AP SET 2026 and notably, those who have completed a PhD are also eligible for relaxation in the required marks.
