AP TET 2025 results declared; only 39.27% qualify for classes 1 to 8 teacher recruitment

Subscribe NowThe Department of School Education has declared the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET 2025) results for over 2 lakh candidates. This year, only 39.27% candidates qualified the AP TET exam, becoming eligible for classes 1 to 8 teacher recruitment process.
TET was made mandatory by the Supreme Court last year for aspiring and in-service teachers. Following this, several states announced the exam schedule for state-level TET exams. Andhra Pradesh recorded 2,71,692 applications from 2,41,509 candidates. Of these only 39.27% qualified AP TET, as per reports.
The Department of School Education conducted AP TET exam on December 10 and 11 in two shifts – morning session from 9.30 am to 12 noon and the afternoon session from 2.30 pm to 5 pm.
Through this recruitment process, the department will recruit teachers in government, Zilla Parishad, Mandal Parishad, municipal, and private aided schools in Andhra Pradesh. Notably, Andhra Pradesh has 12,912 single-teacher schools, the highest in the country.
The AP TET provisional answer key was issued for 21 subject papers on December 20 at the official website, tet2dsc.apcfss.in. Candidates were also allowed to raise objections against the answer key. The results and total score have been calculated based on the final answer key, it said.
General and EWS category candidates who have obtained at least 60% marks and reserved category candidates with 50% marks have been awarded the AP TET MarksMemo. Candidates will have to key in their user name, password, and captcha code to download the results.
