Assam HS, HSLC Board Exam 2024: Over 7 lakh students to appear; Ranoj Pegu reviews arrangements

NEW DELHI: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) will conduct the HS and HSLC exams on February 12 and 16, respectively. The Assam HSLC exams will be undertaken by 4,25,965 students across 913 centres, while the HS exams will involve 2,80,216 students across 876 centers, Assam education minister Ranoj Pegu informed on X.

A state level examination supervision committee, chaired by the secretary of school education Assam, along with District level committees headed by respective district commissioners, will oversee the examination process.

The HS and HSLC Exams are set to commence on February 12th and 16th, respectively, concluding on March 13th. The HSLC Exam will be undertaken by 4,25,965 students across 913 centers, while the HS Exam will involve 2,80,216 students across 876 centers.

"In conjunction with the Chairman of SEBA and AHSEC, as well as key officials from the school education department, a comprehensive review of arrangements for the smooth administration of both exams was conducted with all District Commissioners (DCs), Superintendents of Police (SPs), and school inspectors today", Ranoj Pegu said.

All government officers and teachers have been duly instructed to execute their responsibilities with the utmost discipline and sincerity. Ranoj Pegu urged all parents, guardians, and citizens to extend their cooperation to ensure the seamless conduct of these examinations.

Assam Board has also introduced some major changes for the upcoming SEBA Class 10 exams 2024. This time,"OMR sheet will be introduced for answering objective type questions (50% of total marks) carrying 1 mark each in case of core subjects," reads the official notice.

The Assam Class 10, 12 exams will be held in two shifts, from 9 am to 12 noon and from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Candidates will have to carry their Assam HSLC, HS admit card 2024 along with school ID to the examination centre. Candidates can use their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth to download the Assam Class 10, 12 admit card.

If any student is caught using unfair practices in the exam, he/ she will be disqualified from the exam. Students need to secure a minimum of 30 % marks in each subject to pass the Assam board exams 2024. The board is expected to announce the Assam HSLC, HS results in the month of May.
