NEW DELHI: An AYUSH skill conclave was organised by the healthcare sector skill council (HSSC) recently, which was based on the theme of 'One Herb, one standard'. The conclave was held at the India Habitat centre in New Delhi.

The conclave was aimed at promoting skill development in the traditional healthcare sector. The conclave was inaugurated by All India Institute of Ayurveda director, Tanuja Manoj Kesari. On the occasion, he said: "The Ministry of Ayush and the government of India are taking significant steps towards reinforcing and propagating Indian traditional medicine globally".

He added that the initiatives like 'One Herb, One standard' aim towards harmonising the standards to improve ease of doing business in India and opening of new colleges. The initiative is paving the way for expansion and recognition of Ayush systems, he said.

HSSC CEO Ashish Jain said: "We are delighted with the overwhelming response to the Ayush skill conclave. The conclave provided an excellent opportunity for the participants to learn about the latest advancements in Ayush and build a network of like minded individuals. We are committed to promoting the growth and development of traditional healthcare systems in India, and we will continue to organise such events to support the cause".
