Ben-Gurion University invites applications for MSc in earth and environmental sciences

Ben-Gurion University, Israel will provide scholarships to meritorious students.
NEW DELHI: The Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), Israel is inviting applications from international students for a two-year MSc programme in earth and environmental sciences for its ‘Fall 2023’ session.
According to the university, the tuition fee is 5,000 US dollars per year. The university will provide full tuition and cost of living scholarships for meritorious students.

Interested candidates willing to join must have a BSc degree or equivalent from a recognized institution. GRE is required for those applying to the department of mathematics, computer science, and physics. TOEFL is required for those applying to the department of chemistry, life sciences, geological and environmental sciences who didn't complete the BSc in English medium. “Acceptance to the program requires the agreement of a specific faculty member to act as a supervisor of the candidate” a statement from the university read.
The students performing well in academics may join the combined MSc PhD track during the second year of the MSc. The university will provide students with opportunities for employment in research laboratories during studies along with field excursions abroad.

The university stated that the MSc programme is a research degree with a thesis that aims to provide research skills in geology, earth, and environmental science. Students joining the programme will be able to study and research in earth dynamics, geochemistry, micropaleontology, engineering geology, and field measurements.
Students will be awarded credit points and eligibility for scholarships and teaching assistantships as per the rules and regulations set by the faculty of natural sciences.
