BHU to open application for free of charge certificate programme on AI from January 12 to 25. 100 students will be selected through an admission test.

NEW DELHI: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will be commencing a free training programme on artificial intelligence (AI) from February 1, 2023. Applications for the AI certification programme will be open from January 12 to 25, 2023 at textanalytics.in/ai.
There are a total of 100 seats available from the programmes, students will be selected on the basis of an entrance test. The certificate programme is designed to focus on training university students and also reskilling working professionals.

The curriculum is based on NASSCOM framework and will cover introductory and advanced topics including AI and big data, statistical concepts and applications, statistical tools, importing and reprocessing data, exploring and manipulating data, data structures and algorithms, graph and string algorithms, artificial neural networks, programming for data science, programming in Python, creating visualisations, managerial skills, organizational behavior, persuasive communication among others.
This training will be given to students and individuals who are either working or aspiring to work in targeted areas from February to July 2023. The training is free of charge for participants and will receive a certificate on completion of training.
According to a recent report by the ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY), the fields of data and AI could create over 20 million jobs in technical roles. The Government of India has thus been focusing on promoting programmes to build these capabilities among Indian youth.
