Last year, BSEB put a disclaimer on Class 10 marksheet, "Bihar School Examination Board Patna is not responsible for any inadvertent error that may have crept in the results being published on NET. The results published on net are for immediate information to the examinees. These cannot be treated as original mark sheets. Original mark sheets have been issued by the Board separately."

More than 98 percent of educational blocks in Bihar are educationally backward, the education ministry said, in reply to a question in Parliament last year. According to the ministry data, 530 out of the 537 educational blocks in Bihar are termed as “educationally backward blocks”.

On the occasion of Rajendra Prasad's birth anniversary, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) awarded 47 students who secured first 10 positions in Class 10 exams. Students who got the 1st, 2nd, 3rd position received Rs 1 lakh, Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 cash prizes, respectively. Along with this, they will be provided with one laptop each, Kinde-Book Reader notebook. Those students who secured 4th to 10th position in the Bihar matric exam were honored with a medal and laptop and Rs 10,000 cash prize.
