Bihar to give Rs 10,000 each to Class 10 government school students passed in first division

NEW DELHI: Bihar education department has announced to give Rs 10,000 each to Class 10 students from government schools who have passed in the first division. The amount will be given under the Mukhyamantri Balak Balika Protsahan Yojna.

Students will have to apply for the scheme to avail the amount on the official website, medhasoft.bih.nic.in. The last date to register for the scheme is August 30, 2023.

“Rs 10,000 will be given through DBT to the boys and girls of 10th class who have passed in the first division from the government school of the state,” said the state education department in a tweet.

The aim of the scheme is to promote education of boys and girls as well as to encourage students for higher secondary education.

How to apply for the scholarship?

• Visit the official website, medhasoft.bih.nic.in
• Click on the link “Apply for online 2023” under the scheme name.
• Now, read the instructions before applying
• Click on apply online
• Fill the application form and upload the required documents
• Take a screenshot or print out of the filled form

Students will need the following details for registration:

• Registration number
• Student's name
• Father's name
• Mother's name
• District name
• Total marks
• Roll No
• Division
• Date of Birth (As per 10th)
• Aadhaar details
• Gender
• Category
• Mobile number
• Alternative mobile number
• Email Id

After registration of the candidates, the education department will verify the bank account details and release the list of students with their registration and payment status.

Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) declared Bihar 10th result 2023 on April 1. A total of 21 students secured the top 5 ranks. The state had announced Rs 1 lakh, one laptop, and one kindle e-book reader each for the top 10 students. The pass percentage this year stood at 81.04%.
