Police have launched an investigation after a 10-year-old was found dead in her hostel room under mysterious circumstances
Bettiah: A 10-year-old girl was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a private school hostel in Bihar's West Champaran district, police said on Friday. The incident took place on Thursday night within Laukariya police station limits. "Police received information on Friday morning that the girl was found dead in her room at a private school-cum-hostel located in Harnatand market," Laukariya SHO Raman Kumar told PTI.

The body had visible injury marks near the eye and stick-like marks on several parts, he said. Family members of the girl accused that she was beaten to death by teachers at the school, he added. "Two accused, identified as Hemraj Kumar and Deepak Kumar, both teachers at the school, have been arrested in connection with the case," the SHO said. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death, police said.
