Bihar Teacher Recruitment: BPSC to declare result of only DElEd candidates for Class 1 to 5 posts

BPSC will announce Bihar teacher recruitment result for 1.70 lakh posts this month. It will start recruitment process to fill more vacancies in October.
NEW DELHI: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) today said it will announce the result of Bihar Class 1 to 5 teachers’ recruitment only for candidates who have diploma in elementary education (DElEd) this month. The BPSC will also declare the result of Bihar Class 9 to 12 teachers’ recruitment test, according to media reports
In a meeting today, in which BPSC chairman Atul Prasad, additional chief secretary of Bihar education department KK Pathak and directors of primary and secondary school education participated, the commission decided that it will not announce the result of recruitment exam for Class 1 to 5 teachers for candidates having Bachelor in Education (BEd) degree, Hindustan reported .
The recruitment exam was held last month for 1.70 lakh teachers’ vacancies in government schools in Bihar.
Bihar TRE: Next exam in November
The commission has also decided to start the recruitment process of new teachers for Classes 1 to 12 in October. The commission said, it will conduct the examination for the news teachers’ recruitment process in November this year. However, the BPSC or education department has not given any information regarding the number of posts that will filled, media reports said.
The officials present in the meeting also discussed the merit list for the result of the current Bihar teacher recruitment examination. The education department informed that it has approached the Supreme Court regarding the results of BEd candidates for teaching posts in Classes 1 to 5, Hindustan reported. As per a Supremem Court order, BEd pass candidates are now not eligible to become primary teachers .
The commission has not cleared whether the result of BEd pass candidates has been put on hold or cancelled, News 18 Bihar reported.
