BIMTECH launches 8 insurance courses in blended mode for students of 7 countries

In collaboration with Chartered Insurance Institute, BIMTECH will offer courses for India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan, and Myanmar.
NEW DELHI: Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) has launched eight professional courses in insurance, online and offline for students and professionals from seven countries. These courses aim to teach students for CII qualifications, accredited by Chartered Insurance Institute – Accredited Professional Development Centre (CII APDC).
With support from CII, BIMTECH will impart training to aspiring students and professionals in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan, and Myanmar in professional courses including Award in General Insurance, Insurance Law, Economics and Business, Advanced Claims, Reinsurance, Risk Management in Insurance, Strategic Underwriting and Strategic Claims Management.
To offer both online and offline professional courses, BIMTECH inaugurated a center at its Greater Noida campus today, March 29, 2024. Sakate Khaitan, senior partner at Khaitan Legal Associates was present during the event and said, “Achieving CII APDC status enhances the prestige of an organization, enabling it to offer teaching and learning facilities exclusively for CII qualifications, while also meeting a recognized quality benchmark. By promoting professional insurance education, this training center aims to assist and uphold an internationally recognized high standard in its education and training offerings.”
On the occasion of the opening of the centre, Prabina Rajib, Director said, “After some years of hard work, we are proud to have successfully achieved CII APDC status. Under this, several tailored courses have been launched keeping in mind the evolving demands of the job market and to help students keep pace with the industry standards. Our center will provide a conducive and enriching learning environment to transform students into remarkable leaders capable of making significant contributions to the country.”
BIMTECH offers programmes like PGDM in Insurance and Retail Management. It ranked 48th in the management category in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) last year.
CII is the professional membership body for the insurance sector, representing more than 82,000 members across the UK and internationally, with offices in London, Dubai and Hong Kong. APDC status is available to training providers outside the UK. The scheme is for centres delivering training towards CIl qualifications only.
