BIMTECH partners with UNIQLO for placements in retail management; global management programme in Japan

UNIQLO will conduct lectures, internships, experiential opportunities for BIMTECH PGDM Retail Management students.
The Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) has signed a partnership with the Japanese brand UNIQLO to develop student opportunities in retail management. The ceremony took place with Kenji Inoue, CFO and COO of UNIQLO India, Prabina Rajib, director of BIMTECH, and Pankaj Priya, deputy director of the institute.
BIMTECH students of the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) Retail Management will experience industry lectures, internships, and campus placements through UNIQLO’s management candidate programme. A select group of students will also be nominated for Fast Retailing’s Global Management Programme in Japan.
Students engaged in the BIMTECH retail programme will get opportunities to interact with veteran retail professionals and engage in experiential learning through UNIQLO. BIMTECH students will be able to explore career pathways in domestic and international retail operations.

BIMTECH-UNIQLO collaboration for talent development
The CFO and COO of UNIQLO commented that, “UNIQLO is delighted to collaborate with BIMTECH, fostering innovation and talent development. This collaboration will offer students a unique opportunity to have business sessions with global market specialists in order to learn more about world industry and business.”

Apart from PGDM Retail Management, BIMTECH offers programmes like PGDM, PGDM International Business, and PGDM Insurance Business Management. The institute also offers an online PGDM course, as well as Fellow programmes.
