BIMTECH placements 2021: 417 PGDM students placed with highest package of Rs 16 LPA

Students were placed in consulting, banking and finance services, FMCG and FMCD, sales and marketing, retail, insurance, manufacturing, operations, and HR companies.
NEW DELHI: The Birla Institute of Management and Technology (BIMTECH) has concluded its annual placements for the 2019-21 batch of PGDM students. 417 students have been placed with the highest salary package of Rs 16 lakh per annum.
The average salary package this year is 8.07 lakh per annum while the median is 8 LPA, as per an official statement from BIMTECH.

Students have been placed in top consulting, banking and finance services, FMCG and FMCD, sales and marketing, retail, insurance, manufacturing, operations, and HR companies, the BIMTECH statement said.
As many as 129 recruiters participated in the placement drive including companies such as Maruti Suzuki, Infosys, Wipro, Gartner, CollegeDunia, Havells India, UltraTech Cement, Tech Mahindra, JK Group, Bajaj Alianz, KPMG, Tata Consultancy Services, ICICI Bank, Big Basket, L&T Infotech, Panasonic, Hyundai, Birla, Eicher, HCL, HDFC bAnk, Federal Bank, IDFC first bank, SBI, Reliance, Mindtree etc.

Of 129 organizations, 38 were new recruiters this year. Top recruiters were ICICI bank, Infosys, IDFC First Bank, Birla Soft, Wipro, HDFC, SBI, and No Paper Forms, as per the statement.
The Banking and financial services sector hired the most number of students at 25% followed by IT and ITes at 22%. The insurance companies recruited 14% of the students whereas manufacturing and consultancy sectors hired 7% each. The EduTech, retail, and FMCG and FMCD took the lowest number at 6%, 5%, and 4%, respectively.

While 226 PGDM students were placed, 59 from PGDM in International Business secured placements. 59 students from PGDM in Insurance Business Management were recruited while 56 from PGDM in Retail Management got job offers.
Moreover, during the summer placements of 2020-22 batch, the institute recorded 100% placement with 403 students getting the highest stipend of Rs 70,000. The average stipend remained Rs 18,000, the statement said.
Furthermore, BIMTECH has invited applications for PGDM in General Management, PGDM in International Business, PGDM in Insurance Business Management, and PGDM in Retail Management. The last date to apply to the programmes is December 2, 2021.
