BITS Pilani, Impactsure Technologies Private Limited collaborate for AI research

NEW DELHI: Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani (BITS Pilani), signed an agreement with Impactsure Technologies Private Limited a leading Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (M) document processing and analytics SaaS company to facilitate research today, October 1. The collaboration will focus on leveraging the power of both large and small language models (LLMs and SLMs) to develop new software for business and finance sectors, the BITS Pilani statement said.

The collaboration aims to leverage BITS Pilani’s strong academic research capabilities and Impactsure’s cutting-edge AI and machine learning technologies to explore innovative and impactful solutions for enterprises and the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sectors, the BITS statement added.

“The collaboration focuses on various aspects such as – advanced analytics solutions, intelligent information, and document processing, and will also foster business-academic collaboration to support innovation and technology growth.”

The partnership will allow students and faculty to collaborate on joint research projects, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and opportunities with projects that could reshape industries' approach to information and document processing, analytics, and digital transformation, the official BITS statement adds.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Soumyo Mukherji, the director of BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus, Soumyabrata Chakraborty the registrar of BITS Pilani, and Dharmarajan Sankara Subrahmanian, founder and CEO of Impactsure, who is also a BITS Pilani alumnus (batch of 1990-95).

The ceremony was attended by key members of the Impactsure team including – Subramaniyan Neelakandan (CTO), Ashish Mohan Jha (COO), and Mukund Chengapa (head of marketing).
