NEW DELHI: A day after the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) announced the BPSC exam date of 67th combined competitive prelims exam (CCE) 2021, a large section of candidates staged a protest opposing its decision to hold BPSC exam in two days.

The video shared by many protesting candidates showed that the students were lathicharged by the police. Tagging Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, several candidates expressed their concern and said the last-minute change in exam pattern is an ‘injustice’ done to aspirants.

The BPSC in its latest notice said that the BPSC 67th CCE exam 2022 will be held in two days, September 20 and 22. The decision to conduct the exam in two days was taken considering the large number of applicants registered for the exam. The detailed BPSC exam schedule will be released on the official website, bpsc.bih.nic.in.

The notice further said that the BPSC result will be declared using equipercentile equating technique.

On May 8, after the screenshot of the BPSC question papers had gone viral on social media minutes before the commencement of the exam, the official cancelled the examination. A three-member committee was also set up to inquire into the matter. More than 5 lakh candidates will appear at over 1,000 centres across the state.
