BPSC 70th CCE prelims 2024 registration deadline extended; exam dates announced

NEW DELHI: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has extended the registration deadline for the 70th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) prelims 2024 exam. Candidates can now fill out the BPSC 70th CCE application form till November 4 through the official website, bpsc.bih.nic.in.
As per the official notice, the BPSC 70th CCE prelims exam 2024 will be held on December 13. “The probable date for the Integrated 70th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination is December 13, 2024. The information related to the scheduling of this examination is to be considered modified as published on the commission's website on September 2, 2024,” the official notice read.
The commission will also open the application correction window tomorrow, October 19. The window link will remain open till the revised deadline for submitting online applications, which is November 4, 2024. During this period, candidates can make corrections to their registration details, excluding the candidate's name, father's name, mother's name, and date of birth, through the 'Update Details' link available on the official website.
For candidates who want to make changes in their reservation category or gender after completing the application and paying the examination fee, an additional provisional examination fee is required to be paid.

BPSC 70th CCE 2024: Application fee, exam pattern
The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,957 vacancies at various departments of the Bihar government. During the registration process, candidates are required to pay a biometric fee of Rs 200 in addition to the application fee.
The application fee for general category candidates is Rs 600 and Rs 150 for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates from Bihar, as well as for female candidates who are permanent residents of Bihar and disabled candidates.
The BPSC CCE 2024 prelims exam will cover the multiple-choice questions on general studies subjects. Candidates will have a duration of two hours to complete the exam, which will be conducted for a total of 150 marks. There will be negative marking for incorrect answers, with a provision for one-third negative marking for each wrong response.
