BPSC TRE 3.0 to fill 87,774 vacancies; STET-qualified candidates continue to protest

NEW DELHI: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced to fill a total of 87,774 vacancies through the teacher recruitment exam (BPSC TRE 3.0). The BPSC TRE 3 registration last date has also been extended to February 26 recently to allow interested candidates to apply for Class 1-12 teachers recruitment.
The commission will be conducting the BPSC TRE 3.0 exam from March 7 to March 17 at various exam centres. The BPSC TRE results of the written exam are expected to be declared between March 22 and 24 on the official website, bpsc.bih.nic.in.
Meanwhile, STET qualified candidates continue to express their disappointment as they are ineligible to apply for BPSC third phase TRE recruitment exam. As per reports, a STET-qualified girl jumped in front of the Bihar deputy chief minister Samrat Choudhary’s car and sustained minor injuries. The deputy CM reportedly said he will inform the education department about the requests.
The BPSC TRE exam consists of three parts - language, general studies and subject-specific paper. Language paper will carry 30 questions, general studies will have 40 questions, subject-specific paper will have 80 questions each carrying 1 mark.

Candidates who are interested in applying for teachers positions in primary, secondary and higher secondary levels are required to check the available number of vacancies before applying.

BPSC TRE age limit 2024
The BPSC age limit cut-off date for minimum and maximum age for all posts will be August 1, 2023.
The lowest age limit for Classes 1 to 8 will be 18 years and for the Class 9 to 12 teacher recruitment it will be 21. The maximum age for all unreserved category candidates will be 37 years and 40 years for backward class, extremely backward class and unreserved category female candidates. Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe candidates who are 42 years or less as on 2023 will be eligible to apply. The commission also informed that the retirement age is fixed at 60 years.
