NEW DELHI: The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha will commence the BSE Odisha Class 10 board exams 2024 from today. A total of 5,51,611 students will have registered to appear for the Odisha matric board exam 2024 from today.

The state government has installed AI-powered cameras in exam centres to prevent the use of unfair means. ““AI-powered cameras will be installed in strong rooms, DEO office, examination hall. A command room with 7-8 persons will be set up for operation of the AI cameras,” as per reports.

Students appearing for the exams will have to download the Odisha HSC admit card 2024 through the official website, bseodisha.nic.in. They will have to mandatorily carry the hall ticket to the exam centre along with school ID.

As per the schedule, the BSE Odisha Class 10 exams 2024 will begin with a first language paper and will conclude on March 4 with the social science subject. Odisha Class 10 exams will be held in two shifts - forenoon shift will begin from 10 am to 12:30 pm and afternoon shift from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.

Students have been instructed to reach the exam venue 30 minutes before the exam begins. They will be given 15 minutes reading time to go through the question paper. Electronic devices such as a mobile phone, bluetooth devices, smart watch, calculator, are strictly prohibited in the examination centre.

The Odisha government in December clarified that the Class 10 dropout rate was 27% in the state in the academic year 2021-22 and not 49.9% as informed by the education ministry in the Lok Sabha. The overall dropout rate got reduced to 17% in 2022-23.
