BSEB declares Bihar board 10th result

New Delhi, June 26: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced Bihar Board 10th result on June 26, 2018. The overall pass percentage is 68.89, which is higher than last year’s that was recorded at 50.12%. Around 17.58 lakh students have appeared for the exam this year, out of which 12,11,617 students passed the exam. Prerna Raj from Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Jamui has topped the exam with 457 marks out of 500. The first, second and third rank holders will be awarded with Rs 1 lakh, Rs 75,000 and Rs. 50,000 respectively, along with a laptop, e-book and stationary. Students who clinched fourth to tenth positions will receive Rs 10,000 and a laptop.

The result was announced at a press conference by chairman Anand Kishor along with state education minister Krishnanandan Prasad Verma and principal secretary RK Mahajan at the BSEB headquarters in Patna. Students who appeared in the exam can check their result online by entering their roll code, roll number, date of birth and captcha. The result of Bihar Board matric can also be checked through SMS. To check the result on phone, candidates have to type BSEB10<space>ROLLNUMBER — and send it to 56263.

This year around 448 students were barred from the exam as they were involved in malpractices while 93 examinees were caught for answering papers for others. As per media reports, in 2018, approximately 17.58 lakh students took Bihar Board class 10th exam across 1,426 centres in the state. The exam was conducted from February 21 to 28. The practical examinations commenced on January 22 and continued till 24.
