The dress code for NEET exam 2026 remains among the strictest across Indian entrance tests, and NTA has warned students not to ignore clothing instructions.

Allowed clothing:

• Plain half/full sleeve shirt or T-shirt
• Simple salwar/suit without embroidery
• Light trousers/leggings
• Slippers or low-sole sandals

Not allowed:

• Heavy buttons
• Jackets
• Multiple pockets
• Metallic clips
• Belts
• Watches
• Jewellery
• Shoes with thick sole

Both NEET dress code for female 2026 and NEET dress code for male 2026 stress minimal accessories so frisking can be completed smoothly.

NTA has made it clear that entry into the NEET UG test room will not be allowed unless every mandatory document is produced physically.

Documents required for NEET exam hall:

• NEET admit card 2026 printed copy
• One valid Aadhaar,PAN,passport,voter ID
• Passport-size photograph
• Self declaration if applicable
• PwD certificate where needed

Candidates should also keep the NEET admit card password/login details accessible on phone or email in case centre authorities ask for application verification.

Without these papers, even registered candidates may be stopped at gate level.
