BSEB DElEd 2026 registration begins for 30,750 seats across 306 teacher training institutes

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has opened the registrations for the DElEd Joint Entrance Examination for admission to two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) programme for the academic year 2026-28. BSEB DElEd application form 2026 will be available from December 11 to 24 on the official website, bsebdeled.com.
The Bihar DElEd exam 2026 is conducted for admission to 306 government and private teacher training institutes in the state offering 30,750 seats. According to the revised exam pattern, the BSEB DElEd will be conducted online for admission to all institutions recognised by the NCTE and affiliated with Bihar board.
The computer-based test (CBT) will carry 120 multiple-choice questions across subjects such as general Hindi, Urdu, mathematics, science, social studies, general English, and logical and analytical reasoning. Candidates will be given 150 minutes to attempt the exam. As per the marking scheme, each correct answer will be awarded one mark.
Unreserved candidates will have to obtain at least 35% and reserved categories, such as SC, ST, and PwD, will have to score 30% marks to qualify the entrance exam.
While filling the Bihar DElEd application form 2026, general, EWS, backward caste (BC), and EBC candidates will have to pay Rs 960, and SC, ST, and PwD candidates will have to deposit Rs 760 as registration fee.

BSEB DElEd 2026 eligibility criteria
Candidates who have passed Class 12 or an equivalent exam with at least 50% marks will be eligible to apply for the DElEd entrance test. A relaxation of 5% will be provided for reserved category and PwD candidates.
Urdu candidates who have passed the Maulvi exam, equivalent to Class 10, with 50% marks are also eligible. Students appearing for Class 12 board exam 2026 may apply, however, admission will be granted only after they secure the required qualifying marks.
Candidates with qualification such as polytechnic, ITI, are not eligible, except those who completed vocational Class 10+12, Madhyamik and Intermediate exam. The minimum age limit is 17 years as on the first day of the admission year.
The final selection will be based on a merit list prepared by combining entrance exam scores, and institutional preference submitted by candidates.
