BSNL announces vacancies for 300 Management Trainee posts

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 12: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has invited applications for the posts of Management Trainee (MT). As many as 300 vacancies have been announced, out of which 150 vacancies will be filled from open market (external candidates). However, the process of filling the other 150 vacancies has not been announced by BSNL. Online registration for this post will begin from December 26, 2018. Last date of registration is January 26, 2019. The selection process of BSNL recruitment comprises of online assessment process, document verification, group discussion and interview. The online assessment process will be held from March 17, 2019.

Pay Scale

The Management Trainee will be provided IDA pay scale of Rs 24,900 to 50,500 (pre-revised) with annual increment @ 3% of basic pay plus IDA, HRA, Perks, Medical Benefits etc.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for BSNL recruitment, applicants age should not exceed 30 years as on August 1, 2019 and must have Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology degree or equivalent engineering degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer/IT & Electrical. The minimum qualifying marks is 60% for general and OBC category while it is 55% for SC/ST candidates.

Pattern of Examination

The online assessment test will comprise management aptitude, cognitive and technical knowledge sections. The test will consist of three sections - Management Aptitude, Cognitive Ability and Technical knowledge. Maximum marks allotted for the test is 450. There is negative marking for wrong answers, 25% marks will be deducted. The section-wise minimum qualifying marks is 40% for general candidates, 36% for OBC category and 33% for SC/ST. The merit list for group discussion and interview will be prepared based on the marks obtained in all three sections in the online assessment process.

Selection Process

Candidates who will apply for BSNL recruitment will have to appear for an Assessment Process. Based on the marks, candidates will be called for Document Verification, Group Discussion and Interview. The number of candidates to be called for document verification, group discussion and interview will be 2:1. The final merit list will be based on candidates overall performance in online assessment process, group discussion and interview. The examination authority will give 75% weightage to online assessment process, 12.5% each to group discussion and interview.
