CA Foundation Dec 2023 Results: Overall pass percentage has not crossed 40% in five years

Check NowNEW DELHI: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will announce the CA Foundation December 2023 results on February 7. Analysing the results of last 9 sessions, it was found that the overall pass percentage of candidates has not crossed 40% since November 2018. CA Foundation Result 2023 Live
Along with the CA Foundation results for December exam, the institute will also announce top 50 rank holders. The CA Foundation result link will be made available on the official website, icai.nic.in or icai.org.
The number of registration for CA Foundation exam saw a significant increase compared to the January 2021 session. As per past trends, male candidates have also been performing slightly better than female candidates.
As per the passing criteria, students should score sectional cut-off of 40% in all four papers - Principles and Practice of Accounting; Business Laws and Business Correspondence and Reporting; Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning and Statistics; Business Economics and Business and Commercial Knowledge. However, overall aggregate score should be 50% and above.
CA Foundation pass percentage of last 9 sessions
In 2019, 36,724 aspirants appeared in the exam, of which only 18.58% cleared the exam; the lowest number of pass percentage due to the impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the applications and pass percentage of candidates started improving from November 2020, it once again dropped after December 2021.
