The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will start the Chartered Accountant (CA) Intermediate September 2026 exam from tomorrow, September 1, 2026. The exam will commence with advanced accounting (paper 1) in offline mode.

The exam will be held in two groups I.e., Group 1 and Group 2. All the papers will be conducted in the afternoon shift between 2 pm and 5 pm.

Aspirants who are going to appear for the CA inter exam must carry documents such as admit card and an original copy of a valid ID proof like Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID card, passport, or driving license.

CA Inter September Exam 2026: Important guidelines

Applicants should keep the following instructions in mind while appearing for the examination:

  • Report to the examination centre at the time specified on the admit card.
  • Applicants may attempt the paper in Hindi only if they opted for Hindi as their language in the CA online application form.
  • Any form of unfair means or malpractice during the examination is strictly prohibited.
  • Books, notebooks, study notes and other study materials cannot be taken inside the exam centre.
  • Electronics gadgets and metal objects are prohibited in the examination hall.
  • Applicants should bring a blue or black ballpoint pen for the exam.
  • Portable calculators that operate on batteries are permitted.
  • Scientific calculators are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.

The examination centre assigned to applicants for the CA September 2026 session is specified on their admit cards. Applicants should verify the centre name and full address beforehand and make necessary travel arrangements. They should arrive well before the reporting time and ensure that they have all mandatory documents and allowed items with them.
