Cambridge University Online launches ‘Big Data for Business Intelligence’ course, apply before July 3

The course, a joint effort of Cambridge Online and Simplilearn, offers working professionals 48 hours of training in data analysis, machine learning, business intelligence
The University of Cambridge Online has launched a six-week long certificate course on “Leveraging Big Data for Business Intelligence” in partnership with Simplilearn, through its digital learning platform “Cambridge Advance Online”. The course will have live online sessions for six to eight hours per week. Applications remain open till July 3, 2025.
The big data for business intelligence course is for working professionals in strategy, product development, operations, and analytics, especially those who have prior experience in SQL or Python. The classes will have low tutor-to-student ratios and will involve peer discussions, making it an interactive platform for learning.
This course with Simplilearn delivers 48 hours of data analysis, machine learning fundamentals, and business intelligence using Google BigQuery and Google Colab. Students will learn how to collect and clean large datasets, create regression models, and communicate insights.

Russell Hunter, course lead and senior software engineer at the University of Cambridge, remarked about the Simplilearn-Cambridge course: “This course sits at the intersection of the most revolutionary fields currently in tech: Big data, data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Learners will understand how to make data-driven decisions using real-world problems and data.”
At the completion of the big data for business intelligence course from Cambridge University , learners will receive a certificate of achievement and a digital badge, “validating their ability to apply data science tools and frameworks in real business environments”.

According to the latest ‘State of Data and Analytics’ Report by Salesforce, 80% of business leaders say data is critical in decision-making at their organisation. The Cambridge big data course provides training in data science, machine learning, and cloud-based data analysis, to make decision-making easier.
