CAT 2018 application process ends on September 26 at 11.59 PM

Use NowNEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 26: The last day to apply for CAT 2018 is September 26, till 11.59 PM. Earlier, the deadline to complete the application process was 5 PM, which has been extended till the end of the day on the last date of application. IIM Calcutta, the conducting body for CAT 2018 has intimated the applicants through email, and have also updated the information on the official exam website. IIM Calcutta has decided to give some more time to the aspirants to submit their applications by providing a breather of almost seven hours. Aspiring candidates can either visit the official website of the exam or the link below to apply for CAT 2018.

IIM Calcutta has also allowed the candidates, who have completed the process by paying the application fee, to change their improper/blur photograph from September 27 (10 AM) to September 30 (5 PM). Candidates can simply login to the official website of the exam with their CAT user id and password to change their improper photographs.
The original application deadline for CAT 2018 was September 19, which was extended by a week. Stating the reason for the extension, Prof. Sumanta Basu, CAT 2018 Convenor said, "This extension is provided considering the inconvenience that the candidates had to go through for the collection of official documents after the natural disaster hit different parts of India. Also, this will give a breather to the candidates who were struggling to complete the application process within the deadline."
In order to apply for the exam, candidates need to register first. After registration, they need to login and fill the application form and pay the application fee online. The application fee has been increased this year and two new payment methods have also been introduced.
Also, 7 new exam centres have also been added to the list including Mizoram and Nagaland states. Now, the exam will be conducted at 147 centres across India. CAT 2018 will be conducted on November 25, in forenoon and afternoon slots. Around 2 lakh candidates will appear for CAT 2018 exam, the gateway to 20 IIMs and 100 other B-schools in the country.
