Use NowNEW DELHI: Around 1.92 lakh candidates appeared for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 which was conducted at 438 exam centres across 156 cities on November 28, 2021 in three shifts.
2.30 lakhs eligible candidates had registered for the exam with the overall attendance being approximately 83%.

The duration of the CAT exam 2021 was of 120 minutes (160 minutes For PwD Candidates). The time allotted for each Section is 40 minutes (53 minutes and 20 seconds for PwD Candidates).

“CAT centre and its delivery partner Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Limited had taken measures to ensure implementation of Covid-19 advisory of the Government of India and state governments on social distancing and other preventive/protective measures at the examination centres,” the official statement added.
According to students and experts, while slot 1 and 3 were easy to moderate, slot 2 was moderate to difficult.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) is likely to release the official CAT answer key for all slots on the official IIM CAT website, iimcat.ac.in in the second week of December 2021. Candidates will be able to download the preliminary answer key by using valid CAT login details.

After the release of the provisional answer key of the CAT 2021 exam, students will be able to raise objections against the answers specified in the answer key within a certain time period.
After CAT results 2021 are declared, students will be able to secure admission in various IIMs and management institutes.
