NEW DELHI: The Common Aptitude Test (CAT 2023) admit card will be able on the official website, iimcat.ac.in, October 25. The exam will be held in three shifts – 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM – on November 26.

Candidates appearing for CAT 2023 will have to attempt the 66 multiple choice questions in 120 minutes. Twenty-four questions will be in the section verbal ability and reading comprehension. These will be based on reading comprehension, para jumbles, para summary and verbal reasoning. Twenty-two questions will be in quantitative aptitude and will be based on algebra, arithmetic, number systems, geometry, permutations and combinations and mensuration. The remaining 20 questions will be in the data interpretation and logical reasoning section. The questions will be based on charts, graphs, arrangements, blood relations and puzzles.
Candidates will be allotted three marks for correct answers while one mark will be deducted for wrong responses.
IIM Bangalore has revised the admission policy for its PG admission 2024. As per the new admission policy, the weightage to personal interview has been raised to 40% from 35% this year. The weightage of marks obtained in Classes 10 and 12 have been decreased 15% to 10 % during the shortlisting phase. In the final phase, 5% weightage will be given to Class 10 and Class 12 marks in comparison to 10% last year.

The CAT score is used by 1,164 institutes offering PG programmes in management. The score is used by 138 government colleges and 1,026 are private colleges.
The CAT 2023 will be conducted in 155 cities in the country. The examination authorities said the IIMs reserve the right to add or remove, change or cancel any test centre or city and/or change the test time and date at their discretion.
The IIM Lucknow is conducting this time for admission to 21 Indian Institutes of Management. As per previous CAt results, candidates scoring between 95 to 100 have higher chances of getting admission in IIMs. CAT 2023 cut-offs will be determined based on total number of candidates appearing in the exam, difficulty level of exam, ranking of colleges and past cut-off trends. This year around 3.3 lakh students have registered for the exam. Here’s the expected IIM cut-offs:
