Indian Institute of Management (IIM Lucknow) has not announced the CAT response sheet release date yet. According to the last year's data, the response sheet will be released along with the provisional CAT answer key 2023.

A total of 3.3 lakh candidates from across the country had registered for the CAT 2023. This was 30% more than the last year's 2.5 lakh registrations.

The CAT 2023 exam will be held in three slots tomorrow. To bring equity in the marking process, the exam conducting authority opts for a normalization process to announce the CAT result 2023. As per CAT 2023 aspirants, the difficulty level in all the overall difficulty levels of CAT exam slots was moderate. According to the students, CAT slot 1 was slightly easier than the other slots.

Follow the steps given below for CAT score calculator.

Step 1: Know the total number of candidates (N) who appeared for the CAT 2023 

Step 2: Provide ranks (r) to all CAT exam 2023 candidates based on their scaled scores in the QA section. If multiple candidates achieve the same scaled scores in QA, assign them identical ranks

Step 3: Calculate the percentile score (P) of a candidate with rank (r) in the QA section as P = [(N − r)/N] x 100

Step 4: Round off the calculated percentile score (P) of a candidate up to two decimal points

According to CAT Slot 3 candidates, the paper is moderate to tough. CAT 2023 slot 3 examiner Anurag says the CAT slot 3 paper is not very easy. The DILR and QA section was a bit tough, unlike last year's CAT exam. He also said that some changes have been made this year. At VARC, an odd question has been asked that was not asked last year. There is no Para Comprehension and DI set this year. For me, RC took a lot of time to complete.

9 to 10 are good attempts in the CAT slot 3 quant section. CAT slot 3 quant section was quite lengthy and a maximum number of questions were asked from Algebra. Also, questions were asked from Arithmetic but as compared to other slot numbers of arithmetic question was low. 2 questions were asked from Geometry and 1-2 questions from Number system. The overall difficult of CAT slot 3 was moderate to difficult.

In CAT slot 3 DILR section has one set for DI. The overall difficulty level of CAT slot 3 LRDI section was moderate to difficult. Attempting 6 to 7 questions from CAT slot 3 LRDI section considered a good attempt.

CAT slot 3 VARC pattern was same as other two slots. There were 4 RC passages in CAT slot 3 VARC section. In CAT slot 3 VA questions were asked from Parajumble, Summary, and Para completion. The CAT slot 3 VARC section was doable.

CAT 2023 Slot 3 analysis indicates that the paper was moderate compared to CAT slot 1 and slot 2.

The CAT exam slot 3 has now started. This is the evening session of the CAT exam will be held from from 04.30 pm to 06.30 pm. It is also the last slot of CAT exam 2023. Candidates were asked to arrive at their CAT exam centre at 3 pm for CAT slot 3 exams. Earlier the second shift of the CAT 2023 exam was concluded at 2.30 pm. The CAT exam has witnessed significant growth in the number of CAT-appearing students in the last few years.

Candidates aiming for admission to top B schools must maintain an accuracy of 90% while attempting the CAT 2023 exam. To score 99+ percentile they must attempt 16 in VARC, 14 in DILR and 16 in the QA section. To score 90+ percentile in CAT 2023 attempt 11 in VARC, 9 in DILR and 10 in the QA section.

Entry for CAT exam slot 3 has now closed. Now no one is allowed to enter the CAT test centre.

The CAT 2023 slot 3 begins at 4.30 pm. This will be the last slot of the CAT 2023 exam. The reporting time at the CAT exam centre is 3 pm for all the candidates. The CAT exam slot 3 will be concluded at 6.30 pm and candidates can leave the CAT test centre at 6.45 pm after submitting their CAT paper.

CAT slot 3 will take place from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Students have started arriving to the CAT exam centre.

CAT Slot 3 Exam Today

A total of 20 questions were asked in CAT slot 2 quant section. The overall difficulty level of CAT slot 2 quant was moderate and 14 to 15 questions was doable. There was one question from Sequence and Series which was difficult. As compared to CAT slot 1, this slot have more arithmetic questions. 

As per CAT slot 2 sectional analysis, the LRDI section was doable. The first set of LRDI questions were asked from Median and Boxes. Candidates found the CAT slot 2 LRDI section lengthy. No questions were asked from Venn Diagram, Linear Equation, Games and Tournaments.

CAT 2023 is being conducted today, November 26, in computer-based mode in three slots. The duration of the CAT exam is 120 minutes with 40 minutes sectional time limit. However, PwD candidates will get a duration of 53 minutes and 20 seconds to attempt each section of the CAT exam 2023.

CAT 2023 is being held today and as of now both (CAT slot 1 and slot 2) over. As per students' reaction both the slot was moderate. But as per CAT slot 2 analysis, it is quite easier than the previous slot.

The difficulty level of the CAT 2023 and question paper varies from slot to slot. The CAT slot 1 exam is moderately too long and according to some CAT slot 2 aspirants, this slot of the CAT exam was also similar.

CAT slot 2 VARC section was easy to moderate. But it was difficult if we compare it with last year. 4 Reading Comprehension (RCs), 2 questions from Para Completion, and 4 questions were asked from para jumbles.

Most aspirants and candidates expect the CAT 2023 result date to be in December. However, this year, possibly due to the sharp rise in the number of candidates, results will come later.

Each slot of CAT 2023 will last 2 hours or 120 minutes with 40 minutes dedicated to each of the three sections that form the IIM CAT exam. These are the CAT exam 2023 time slots:

• Slot 1: 9: 30 am
• Slot 2: 12:30 pm
• Slot 3: 4:30 pm

27 marks in CAT 2023 is considered as a low score. Overall 27 marks is not expected to be more than 55 CAT percentile. However, 27 marks in each section of CAT fetches you more than 99 percentile in CAT exam.

The CAT 2023 slot 2 exam has now started. CAT examiners are in their CAT exam hall to attempt this IIM MBA exam and get admission to prestigious B-schools like IIMs, IITs, etc. Candidates will get 2 hours to complete all the questions of this CAT exam. The CAT slot 2 will end at 2:30 pm.

The entry gates for CAT slot 2 are now closed. Now no one is allowed to enter the premises. Students without a CAT 2023 admit card and original government valid identity proof are barred from appearing for the CAT exam.

A high CAT percentile is essential for admission in the top b-schools, including the IIMs. A total score of 30 will translate into a CAT percentile below 80.

As per CAT slot 1 exam analysis the overall difficulty level of CAT slot 1 was moderate. The total number of questions and section-wise questions was the same as last year's. 

• CAT slot 1 analysis- VARC section
  • CAT VARC section consisted of questions from sentence filling, para jumbles, and summary. There was 4 reading comprehension with 16 questions and 8 questions from Verbal Ability section.
  • CAT slot 1 exam had 2 odd one out, 2 para jumbles, and 2 summary questions
• CAT slot 1 analysis- DILR section
  • DILR section had 4 sets with 5 questions each. Questions were asked from number breaking and restaurants and ratings. Out of 4, two sets were doable and 2 were quite difficult
  • All the sets questions were a mix of LR and DI. There were no specific questions from any specific topic
• CAT slot 1 analysis- Quant section
  • CAT quant section in slot 1 was dominated by arithmetic, algebra, quadratic, simple and compound interest, and cubic questions. There were 8 to 9 arithmetic questions, 5 to 6 algebra questions in CAT 2023

  • There was one question from coordinate, divisibility, and time and distance. 

Entry is still going on and the gates of CAT exam centres will close at 12:15 pm. After that, no one will be allowed to enter the test centre.

The IIM CAT 2023 bulletin says this on when CAT 2023 result comes out: "Candidate's CAT 2023 scorecards will be made accessible on the CAT website. Candidates may also be intimated individually by SMS. The CAT results are likely to be declared by the second week of January, 2024."

The provisional CAT answer key 2023 will be released tentatively in the first week of December along with the response sheet.

IIM Lucknow, which is conducting the CAT 2023, has said that CAT 2023 result date will likely be in the second week of January. While previous results have typically come in December, CAT 2023 has had record number of registrations, meaning there are far more candidates to declare results for than before.

As per the candidate sharing CAT slot 1 analysis, CAT previous year questions were repeated in the CAT 2023 question paper. Aspirant further added that one of the questions from CAT 2017 (to complete a whole square were their in the question paper). There were some questions on Modex that was also repeated.

The quantitative aptitude (QA) section in the CAT 2023 exam was found quite tough for students. Too much of Algebra and Arithmetic.

As mentioned in the CAT admit card, the gate closure time for CAT slot 1 was 8:15 and the same have been made by the authorities to all the CAT exam centre.

As per CAT exam day guidelines, candidates are required to bring a copy of CAT admit card along with one valid photo ID proof. CAT exam officials are accepting hard copies (printouts) of ID cards and CAT admit card. CAT 2023 is scheduled to be held today, November 26 in 155 cities across the country. Students have started arriving to the allotted examination centre. In a conversation with Careers360 one of the CAT aspirants Priyanshi quoted "It is my first CAT attempt and I haven't took any caching because of my job. As per the CAT dress code and exam day guidelines, candidates can wear any type of dress that does not have attached pockets. Candidates can wear t-shirt, shirt, trouser, or whatever they feel comfortable but make sure they are adhering the CAT dress code rule.

There is no change in the CAT exam pattern this year. Then the number of questions, marking scheme, and time duration will be the same as CAT 2021 and CAT 2022. 

To score 99 percentile in CAT 2023, candidates need to attempt 25 questions correctly in the VARC section, 21 questions in the Quants section and 15 questions in the LRDI section. A candidate should be in a favourable situation if at least 47 questions are attempted.

Female candidates are advised to opt for simple attire without fancy accessories like necklaces, bangles, earrings, or rings. Such articles are prohibited and wearing them must be removed before entering the CAT 2023 examination hall.
