NIRF Management Ranking 2023: IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore retained the first two spots and IIT Delhi, IIM Lucknow retained the fifth and sixth position.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has once again retained the top position in the management category in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023 announced today, June 5. IIM Bangalore also retained the second rank, however, IIM Kozhikode got the third spot this year replacing IIM Calcutta. Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced the eighth edition of the NIRF management ranking 2023 along with other categories in a press conference held at 11 am.
IIM Calcutta has moved to the fourth position this year while the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, an engineering institute, has retained the fifth spot in NIRF ranking 2023 management. IIM Lucknow has retained the sixth position while National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NIIE), Mumbai came seventh. IIM Indore has moved to the eight position this year and Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Jamshedpur has moved to ninth spot. IIT Bombay has replaced IIT Madras at the 10th spot.

Last year, IIM Ahmedabad ranked first in NIRF management ranking while IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta grabbed the second and third spots, respectively.
The NIRF ranking is based on parameters including teaching, learning and resources; research and professional practices, graduation outcomes; outreach and inclusivity; and peer perception. Apart from NIRF MBA ranking 2023, the education ministry has released the rankings for overall, universities, colleges, research, engineering, pharmacy, medical, dental, law, and architecture.
