CAT 2023 registration begins from August 2; eligibility criteria, what to keep ready

: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow will commence the registration for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 on August 2. Eligible and interested candidates will be able to fill the CAT form 2023 on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. CAT exam 2023 application form last date is September 13.

IIM Lucknow, which will be conducting this year’s CAT exam on November 26, released the CAT 2023 notification on July 30. The CAT notification 2023 includes the eligibility criteria for the exam besides registration dates, application fee, exam dates, and more.

Before applying for CAT exam 2023, students are advised to check the eligibility given in the CAT 2023 information bulletin. As per the CAT 2023 eligibility criteria,
- Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50 percent marks or an equivalent CGPA awarded by a recognized university or educational institution. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates need to have 45% marks.
- Candidate of any age group can apply for the entrance exam
- Candidates appearing for the final year of a bachelor’s degree and those who have appeared for the final year and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for the CAT exam. However, they will have to produce a certificate stating that they have completed the requirements for obtaining the bachelor's degree.
CAT 2023 Registration: Things to keep ready
Candidates must keep the following documents ready before filling the CAT application form 2023:
- Scanned passport size photograph and signature
- Date of birth certificate
- Proof of residence
- Class 10 marksheet
- Class 12 marksheet
- Graduation marksheets or certificates
- Final year certificate for those students who are in their last year of graduation
- Valid ID proof
- Work experience documents
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- PwD category certificate (if applicable)
- Scribe certificate (if applicable)
