NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) will conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 exam on November 24. The exam is a gateway for admission into Master of Business Administration (MBA) and other postgraduate courses. The CAT admit card 2024 will be issued on November 5 at iimcat.ac.in.

Solving the CAT previous year's question paper enables candidates to become familiar with the exam format and the types of questions asked. Additionally, reviewing the CAT previous year's question papers assists candidates in comprehending the exam pattern and syllabus, which can help enhance their preparation.
The CAT question paper will have three sections carrying 66 multiple-choice questions in total. The exam will be held for 120 minutes with a total of 198 marks. Each section including Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Aptitude (QA) will have a sectional time limit of 40 minutes.

CAT 2023 was easy to moderate difficulty level with no changes in the question paper pattern. Slot-wise paper analysis is given below.
The paper in slot 1 was moderate in difficulty, with VARC as the main challenge for candidates. The DILR section was tricky, while the QA section was manageable for most.
In slot 2, the VARC section was easier compared to slot 1, with straightforward passages and predictable questions. However, DILR remained the most difficult section. The QA section had a mix of moderate and tough questions, though many students found it time-consuming.
Slot 3 showed a similar trend, with VARC being easier compared to earlier slots. DILR remained the most difficult, with complex and time-consuming sets. The QA section had some tough questions, requiring a strong grasp of fundamentals for a good score.
