CAT 2024 question paper comprised 66 questions divided into three sections – Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Aptitude (QA). Candidates were given 40 minutes to attempt each section.

Khushi, a CAT 2024 candidate, said the questions were difficult this year. "Quant seemed the most difficult. However, VARC questions were easier."

Aman Chugh, a repeater, found this year’s CAT exam easy as compared to the previous years’ papers. He said he did well in the CAT 2024 slot 1. "I have already appeared for the CAT exam in 2022 and this year I feel I have done better. Questions were not very difficult except the Quant section, which according to me was a bit tricky. VARC and data interpretation were easier." The candidate said he is expecting something between a 70 to 80 percentile and is aiming for the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore and IIM Rohtak.
