IIM CAT 2025 Exam LIVE: MBA entrance test today in three shifts; guidelines, dress code for male and female

The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) will soon launch online courses in healthcare and design. The new programmes to include 40% artificial Intelligence (AI)-based content. 

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) have added yet another admission counselling process to the list this year. Four of the second-generation IIMs – Raipur, Kashipur, Ranchi and Tiruchirappalli – have broken away from the Common Admission Process (CAP) that was in place in 2025 and will, instead, have a Joint Admission Process (JAP) in 2026.

Candidates are prohibited from carrying the following items inside the exam centre

• Bags
• Purses
• Pencil boxes
• Beepers
• Wristwatches
• Calculators
• Mobile phones
• Electronic devices
• Scanners
• Cameras
• Bluetooth devices

Candidates must not forget to get hold of their CAT 2025 admit card through the official website at iimcat.ac.in. The login details to download the CAT 2025 admit card includes User ID and Password.

The CAT question paper had 100 questions carrying non-MCQs and multiple-choice questions (MCQs). While Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) carried 34 questions each, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) consisted of 32 questions

No, the CAT 2025 exam pattern is similar to last year. CAT 2025 will continue as a computer-based test conducted in a single day across multiple sessions. 

The CAT is conducted to assess candidates’ aptitude in verbal ability, quantitative skills, and logical reasoning. It is the primary entrance test for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and other postgraduate management programmes at IIMs and participating institutes.

Candidates can check the list of items prohibited in the CAT 2025 exam centre from the list given below.

• Do not carry forbidden items such as electronic devices, study materials, papers, or even watches. Candidates found carrying barred items may face disqualification.
• Cheating in the exam using gadgets, communication, or copying will lead to disqualification and may be barred from appealing in the subsequent CAT exams .
• Leaving the exam hall before the scheduled time is not allowed. Candidates should remain seated until the invigilator declares the exam over and allows them to leave.
• Avoid tampering with the settings of the computer or using the keyboard unnecessarily, since such actions may trigger warnings or system locks.
• After attempting the question paper, make sure all rough papers are submitted to the invigilators. Failing to do so will be considered a breach of ethics.

Candidates who will finish their CAT 2025 exam before the end bell rings will not be allowed to leave the exam hall before the allotted time. Candidates should have to be remain seated until the investigator declares the exam over and allows the candidates to leave. 

The CAT exam timings are – slot 1 from 8.30 am to 10:30 am, slot 2 from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm, and slot 3 from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm. Candidates can download their CAT 2025 admit card from iimcat.ac.in and must carry it along with their original identity proof to the exam centre.

The CAT 2025 exam will be conducted in a computer-based mode in 170 cities and 375 test centres across India.

The IIM Kozhikode will conduct the CAT 2025 college entrance test tomorrow from 8:30 am. As per the exam pattern, the CAT exam will contain three sections - verbal ability and reading comprehension (VARC), data interpretation and logical reasoning (DILR), and quantitative aptitude (QA).

There will be a total of 66 questions in the CAT 2025 question paper. As per CAT 2025 marking scheme, 3 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

The admit card is the permission card to allow candidates sit for the exam. The IIM CAT 2025 admit card contains details such as name, registration number, exam date, slot, exam centre details, photograph, and signature. The exam hall tickets contains crucial information regarding the exam and it is a compulsory document to be presented at the exam centre.
Candidates who will appear for the IIM CAT 2025 must carry their CAT 2025 exam hall ticket along with a valid photo ID proof at the exam centre.

The IIM CAT 2025 entrance test for MBA admissions will be held tomorrow in three shifts. The slot 1 will be conducted from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, slot 2 exam will take place from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, and slot 3 will take place from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
