IIM Kozhikode to hold CAT 2025; urges test-takers to register early

CAT 2025 registration will commence from 10 am on August 1 on the CAT 2025 official website – iimcat.ac.in. The CAT centre clarified that this is the only website and no other website is affiliated with or authorised for the examination. The last date for CAT registration 2025 is September 13, 2025.
Once the registration window is closed, the exam authorities will open a very short window for the candidates, who successfully register and pay the exam fee, to edit their photograph, signature, and test city preferences.
CAT 2025 exam cities
CAT exam 2025 will be conducted in around 170 cities across the country. Applicants will be allowed to choose five cities of their preference. The CAT centre will “try its best to ensure that a candidate gets one of their preferred options”.
In case of a high demand in a particular region, the centre reserves the right to allot a CAT 2025 exam centre close to any of the selected options, the convenor informed. Once a CAT exam centre 2025 is allotted to a candidate, no change is permitted. Moreover, the list of examination cities may be subject to changes based on the discretion of the CAT authorities.
CAT 2025 exam pattern, duration
The duration of IIM CAT 2025 will be 120 minutes. Candidates will be allotted exactly 40 minutes for answering questions in each section and they will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while attempting a section. CAT 2025 mock test will be made available on the website for aspirants to understand the format of the test.
CAT question paper 2025 will comprise three sections:
- Section I : Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
- Section II : Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
- Section III : Quantitative Ability
To ensure candidate’s security and access accurate information, the CAT exam convenor urged all applicants to:
- Verify the URL: Double-check that you are on the official iimcat.ac.in website before proceeding with any action or sharing information.
- Exercise extreme caution: Stay alert on unsecured websites, suspicious links, or any platforms asking for personal details or payments outside of the official portal.
- Report suspicious activity: If you encounter any fraudulent websites or suspicious requests, please report immediately to the CAT help desk at cat2025_helpdesk@iimk.ac.in.
