CAT 2026: Good score, percentile for top MBA colleges in India

Candidates seeking admission to post graduate management programmes at top MBA institutes through the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026 should be aware that b-schools admit candidates on the basis of overall and sectional CAT percentiles, academic performance, work experience, and performance in subsequent selection rounds. They must note that scoring 90 or above CAT percentile does not guarantee a management seat at top B-schools. Notably, actual cut-offs for admission to the 2027-29 MBA batch will depend on each institute’s admission policy and applicant pool.

Those with a CAT percentile in the 90 to 95 range could expect institutes such as the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, the Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurugram, SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai; and selected IIT management departments.
