NEW DELHI- The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad conducted CAT 2021 exam on November 28 in three different slots. The morning CAT exam session was held from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, the afternoon session was 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM and the evening session time was 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Right after the conclusion of the CAT exam, many coaching institutes and experts released the slot-wise CAT exam analysis. According to their analysis, the CAT exam this year was moderately difficult with less number of questions compared to CAT 2020.

CAT slot 1 analysis - Overall the exam was doable and not very tough as compared to last year. The DILR section was a bit time-consuming and lengthy as compared to the other two sections. The overall number of questions in the CAT paper was 66.

CAT slot 2 analysis - Those candidates who appeared for CAT slot 2 found the VARC section moderate to difficult, DILR also moderate to difficult, and the Quantitative Aptitude section was easy to moderate.

CAT slot 3 analysis - Candidates who appeared in CAT slot 3 say the paper was balanced with equal weightage. The Quantitative Ability and DILR sections were easiest and VARC was quite lengthy.

Release of CAT official answer key 2021
IIM Ahmedabad is expected to release the CAT 2021 answer key along with the provisional response sheet tentatively in the first week of December 2021. The provisional CAT answer key and slot-wise CAT question paper will be available on the official website of IIM CAT- iimcat.ac.in. CAT answer key will be available in the form of a PDF that contains all the correct answers. Along with the CAT answer key, CAT 2021 question paper and response sheet will also be released. Candidates can use these to calculate their score and draw an idea about their performance in the exam.

CAT 2021 result date and time
IIM Ahmedabad is yet to announce the exact CAT result date and time. However, the official IIM CAT website says the CAT exam result will be announced tentatively in the second week of January 2022. The result of CAT 2021 exam will be available on iimcat.ac.in and the candidates will be able to check their result using their CAT login details such as User ID and password. Post declaration of CAT result, IIMs will individually release CAT cutoffs on their official website along with the admission criteria.Candidates aiming for IIM admission must go through these IIM admission criteria to know the process, eligibility and other requirements.
